It's a little after noon and the delivery man just dropped off my first order from Nice Deli. I ordered 2 cans of Costco coffee and a bag of frozen green beans as a test. My main concern was whether or not the delivery guy could find my apt.
Now, my next question is, can I ask for a specific delivery day? Staying home all day, waiting for a delivery is not a problem right now as I'm on vacation, but classes start again in two weeks and I'll only be able to be home to accept orders on Fridays and Saturdays. If it's possible to get delivery on Friday or Saturday, I will be a regular customer.
A couple other questions:
1. How do you handle perishable items during warmer weather? I notice there was a small icepack in my order, but the beans were already starting to thaw. I'm not complaining! Just wondering if there's something better arranged for warmer weather.
2. Do I *have* to be home to accept delivery? If I'm not home for some reason, what happens?
